Hi! I’m Emmy, and I worry about a lot of things. Extreme weather events, resource scarcity, economic breakdown… yeah, I just scared myself again. So I’m coping by working to cultivate climate resilience in my community.

Climate resilience involves building the capacity of communities to withstand, adapt to, and recover from climate-related disruptions. It’s about creating a robust community that can thrive despite the challenges posed by a changing climate.

Suburbia is popularly known as the opposite of sustainable living: acres of monoculture, shedding pollutant-laden rainwater straight into what little nature-dedicated land is left as homeowners fossil-fuel their way to work. And it really doesn’t have to stay this way.

Join my journey of commitment to nurturing resilience in the face of climate change. I’ll be sharing my experiences as I learn to promote biodiversity, build community connections, and adapt our infrastructure the best I can as a suburban homeowner.
